Stone veneer has grown in popularity over the years due to its visual appeal and function. Here at Prestige Stone, our goal is to continue to provide the most beautiful profiles in a range of colors to fit everyone’s needs. As our collection grows, we realize that it can make choosing a color more difficult. Color not only represents the characteristics of a homeowner or business, but it also has practical value as well. Throughout this guide, we’ve laid out a series of questions and helpful tips that make it easier to choose veneer colors.

Note the Existing Elements

Whether this is a building project or an existing home that needs veneer added to the exterior walls, you’ll be choosing a color based on the other parts of the building. What are the materials and colors of the roof, siding, doors, etc? Do you want the veneer to pop, or the other elements of the home?

All these questions will be one of the first things to go over before choosing a color. There are endless possibilities of how you can mix and match with the veneer colors available to you. Some prefer to make the roof, doors, and accents of the home pop, while others may want the veneer to be the attention grabber.

What is the Style?

Home and Commercial building trends can be seen all over social media. As such, you’ve likely seen elegant buildings and homes that have sharp black or white exteriors. These buildings often exhibit a very modern look.

Take note of the style you want or the building currently holds. Traditional and historic styles often lean toward earthier warm colors and softer or ornate silhouettes. Meanwhile, the contemporary and modern have very neutral and even cold tones paired with geometric silhouettes.

Where is the Home or Building Located?

Location is a key part of the process of choosing a veneer Not only will it impact the “cut” of the stone you’ll choose, but it will also impact the shades and colors of the stone.

Is this building or home located in a climate with high temperatures and lots of sunlight? You’ll likely want a lighter color to ensure lower energy costs when maintaining a comfortable environment inside. Perhaps the veneer will be placed on a home surrounded by rolling green hills. Do you want it to pop with bold bright color, or blend in with more subtle natural stone?

Choose Veneer Colors from Our Selection

Once you’ve contemplated all these factors, we believe it will be much easier to choose a color. Below is a list of all the colors we offer as a stone manufacturer. Included with each color is a description of the characteristics that make them perfect for each kind of home. Be sure to keep checking in on our Stone Veneer Products as we update our selection through the years.

Multi-Colored

From more neutral selections to bright natural colors, a multi-colored veneer makes a home fit well into the surrounding landscape. The variegated veneers we offer include Bluegrass, Buck Country, Charcoal, Kodiak Ridge, Tan, Desert Hollow, Harvest, Monterey, Santa Fe, Moonlit Forest, Portland Mist, Cumberland Fog, Mesa Cream, Natural, Burnt Russet, Jackson Creek, Ohio, Farmhouse, and Sequoia. While there is mild variation in all of our veneers, these colors have more noticeable differences between each stone.

Gray

Our colors that fall into this category include Portland Smoke, Smokey, Portland Dusk, Lido, Imperial, and Blanc (which is the lightest of our grays). These colors have a more modern look to them whether they are dark or light. They offer beautiful dimensions and a cool neutral tone.

White/Off-White

White Onyx is the most pure white we have available. In the most off-white and cream selections we offer Luna. These are great for Farmhouses and the most recent Modern homes that have been built since 2020. They give an airy and neutral feel to any home and many like to pair it with dark roofing and accents.

Tans and Browns

These are classic colors, and we offer a wide variety of them. Our selection includes Siesta, Venice, Braemar, and Pebble. These are on the lighter side, but many of our Multi-Colored brown options such as Tan and Harvest have rich dark browns in them. Browns naturally pair well with wood and brick elements.

Black

The Black Onyx shade is one of the sharpest and most elegant colors. This shade of black has a modern and minimalist feel to it. It pairs beautifully with large glass windows and lighter-stained wood.
